It was a STEAM-sational night at Isaac E. Young Middle School! From extracting strawberry DNA to testing robotic arms, our students turned the halls into a hub of discovery at this year’s STEAMfest. With over 50 staff and student volunteers, the energy was electric! Highlights included:
DIY Science: Hands-on DNA extraction.
Mars Rover Challenge: Building rovers from recycled materials and DC motors.
Innovation in Action: Coding, Lego Robotics, and even a visit from the HS Robotics Team!
Huge shoutout to our award winners, Rawan A. (1st Place for AI in Dentistry) and Kulanya Dickwelle G. (2nd Place for Coastal Hypoxia research). You are the future of science!
Thank you to our incredible teachers and our partners at Mercy University for making this night possible.
