Schools are closed on June 19 in celebration of Juneteenth. IEYMS is also closed on June 21. June 20, 22, and 23 are half days. 6th graders will be dismissed at 11:50. Grades 7 and 8 will be dismissed at 12:00. On June 23, 8th grade students will attend their end of the year trip from 8:00am to 5:30 pm.

As a reminder, June 16 is a half day. Grade 6 will be dismissed at 11:50. Grade 7 will be dismissed at 12:00. Grade 8 will be dismissed after the Moving Up Ceremony rehearsal between 1:30 and 2:00.

Dear Isaac E. Young School Community, As you may be aware, our school does not have mechanical ventilation throughout the building. For some spaces, we are required to open windows for ventilation. Due to the very poor air quality caused by Canadian wildfires, opening windows is not currently advised. We will dismiss on our regular schedule today. There will be no after school activities or clubs. All students and staff are urged to leave as soon as possible after dismissal. For tomorrow, June 8, we will decide how to proceed in consultation with our school district Interim Medical Director and will inform the school community by 6:00 a.m. if we need to close the building. As always, student and staff safety is our top priority and will inform our decision making. --------Estimada comunidad escolar Isaac E.
